Documents of Inheritance / Poetics of Desire
Documents of Inheritance/Poetics of Desire was a project by Sarah Maria Scicluna and Ruth Ancilleri, curated by Carmen Aquilina. Their work invites the public to explore the profound connection between wild plants and their role as inherited treasures from nature, serving as a powerful symbol of our longing for our natural roots. The artists delve into the world around them, utilising drawing as a medium to convey their observations, concerns, and reflections.
These works were made by breaking down 3D scans to create various compositions, at times using drawing. These were later transformed into lines or dashes, and later drawn using a pen plotter on paper.
This project was supported by Arts Council Malta.
